Five days down the Atlantic coast from Casablanca, through El Jadida, Oualidia, Safi, Essaouira and Agadir, ending in Marrakech.
Few visitors stop in the towns on the coast road south of Casablanca. El Jadida has its Portuguese cistern, Oualidia its oyster lagoon, and Safi makes most of Morocco’s pottery.
Further south come Essaouira and Agadir, and then the road turns inland to Marrakech. The drives are short and the pace is easy.
