A week through Morocco’s imperial cities, starting and ending in Marrakech. You visit Rabat, Meknes and the ruins of Volubilis, spend three nights in Fes and come back by the Ouzoud waterfalls.
Rabat, Meknes, Fes and Marrakech were each a capital of Morocco at one time. All four have an old medina and royal buildings, and a local guide shows you round.
You stay in riads and hotels chosen for comfort and location, inside or close to the old towns. The way back to Marrakech follows the Middle Atlas, with a night near the Ouzoud waterfalls.
