Five days down the Atlantic coast of Morocco, from Casablanca to Agadir, with the last day inland to Marrakech. You stop at the Portuguese walls of El Jadida, the lagoon at Oualidia, the potters of Safi and the port of Essaouira, and sleep in El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira and Agadir.
Few visitors stop in the towns on the coast road south of Casablanca. El Jadida has its Portuguese cistern, Oualidia its oyster lagoon, and Safi makes most of Morocco’s pottery.
Further south come Essaouira and Agadir, and then the road turns inland to Marrakech. The drives are short and the pace is easy.
