This Majorelle Garden tour is a morning in Marrakech with a car, a driver and a licensed guide. You visit the Jardin Majorelle, the Bahia Palace and Le Jardin Secret, and the car takes you between them so you save your walking for the gardens.
The Majorelle Garden lies outside the medina walls, in the Gueliz district. The painter Jacques Majorelle began it in the 1920s, and Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought it in 1980. His cobalt-blue studio now holds a museum of Berber objects.
Back inside the medina, your guide takes you through the Bahia Palace, built in the late nineteenth century for the sultan’s grand viziers, and on to Le Jardin Secret, a restored riad garden with a tower that looks out over the rooftops.

From your pickup in the morning to the drop-off at the end of the day.
Your driver and guide collect you at around 8:30 for the short drive to the garden, which is quietest early in the day. Allow an hour for the garden and the Berber museum.
The car takes you back to the medina. Your guide walks you through the courtyards, the painted rooms and the planted patios of the palace.
A short walk north to Le Jardin Secret, with time to sit in the gardens or climb the tower. The car drops you at your riad or hotel at around 13:00.
We pick you up at your riad or hotel in Marrakech at the time you choose. If your riad is in a lane cars cannot enter, the driver waits at the nearest square or gate and someone from the riad walks you there.
March to May and September to November are the easiest months for walking the city. Summer afternoons are very hot, so we start early or go in the evening.
Comfortable shoes, clothes that cover shoulders and knees, a hat in summer, and small change in dirhams for entrance fees and tips.
Most sites charge a small entrance fee in dirhams, so carry cash. Mosques in Morocco are closed to non-Muslims, with the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca as the main exception. In the souks, prices are agreed by bargaining, and it is fine to say no politely. Your guide keeps unofficial guides away and knows the quieter lanes.
Prices are per person and depend on the size of your group. You book with a 20% deposit by card or PayPal and pay the balance on the first day of the tour.
If you cancel 30 days or more before the start, we refund the deposit in full; after that the deposit is kept. You can change the date once for free if you ask 14 days or more before. The details are in our Cancellation Policy.
